An Underrated Hero

This website is dedicated to one of America's underrated heroes, Frank J. Wilson. Wilson was a former agent of the Treasury Department's Bureau of Internal Revenue (now IRS) turned Chief of the United States Secret Service. Throughout the Prohibition, Wilson earned a reputation as a very thorough and devoted investigator of tax returns and income.

During his time as Chief of  the United States Secret Service, Wilson launched the nationwide education program that had nearly eliminated the production and distribution of counterfeit money by the end of his retirement in 1947.
